How to complete an inspection

  1. Click The "New Inspection" link on the bottom of the app home screen.
  2. Before you can click "Start" to begin the inspection, you will have to select which vehicle(s) are to be included on the inspection. Press the "select vehicles" button to view your list of vehicles.

  3. This will load the vehicle(s) that have been added to your account.
If the vehicle(s) you are looking to inspect are not displayed on this list, please see Adding a Vehicle.
Tap each vehicle that you want to inspect. A box around the vehicle indicates it is selected. Press "OK" to continue.

  4. Verify that the proper vehicle(s) have been selected for inspection and click "Start".

  5. If any of the vehicles you have selected for inspection have any unresolved defects from a previous inspection you will be prompted to "Resolve Your Defects".
See Resolving a Defect for additional information.
Major Defects must be resolved before you can proceed to the next step.
Minor Defects left unresolved will be automatically marked as a defect in the new inspection.

  6. Enter the basic information about the inspection. The Location of Inspection should be the full name of the municipality, and the province in which it occurred as well as any odometer/hubmeter/hour meter that may be on the vehicle.
ComplianceBox will attempt to complete the inspection location field for you if you have allowed the app to read your devices current location.

  7. Review each section of the inspection schedule. Select any items that have been found during your inspection.
Some items have items have been marked with an icon to provide more information. Clicking this icon will load a prompt showing more detail about that defect.
