Advanced Vs Default Inspection Mode

Advanced Vs Default Inspection Mode

ComplianceBox offers two different modes for drivers to complete a Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).

Default Inspection Mode

As the name suggests, this is the default mode that all drivers will receive when completing a DVIR. This inspection mode requires a driver to manually review all of the potential defects from each category before completing and signing the inspection. While this mode is more time-consuming to complete, we recommend that drivers begin with this mode.  This is beneficial as it can help assist a driver with knowing everything that is required to be inspected while completing a DVIR.
Default Inspection Mode

Advanced Inspection Mode

This mode is suggested for drivers who have been using the Default Mode for some time and are fully versed with the DVIR requirements. Instead of having a driver have to scroll through all sections available in their inspection, a single page is displayed for drivers to select if they want to record a defect.
Advanced Inspection Mode

How to enable Advanced Inspection Mode

Driver's App

Drivers can utilize their mobile app to enable Advanced Inspection Mode for all of their future inspections. This can be accomplished by following these steps:
If a Company Administrator has forced a particular inspection mode on a driver, they will not be able to adjust which mode their mobile app uses.
  1. Click the "Hamburger Menu" in the top left of the main app screen.

  2. Click "Profile & Records"
  3. Click "User Profile & Settings"
  4.  Click the Enable button in the "Advanced Inspection Mode" Section.

Web Dashboard

Company Administrator's have the ability to force a driver's mobile app to always use a specific inspection mode.  Restrictions can be placed on the entire company, a group of drivers, or individual drivers.
Restrictions will follow a hierarchy so any restrictions made to an individual driver will be overridden by a restriction placed on a group or the entire company. Restrictions placed on the entire company will override group and individual restrictions.
  1. Navigate to the Administrator Dashboard at https://server.compliancebox.app
  2. Determine whether to apply the restriction on the driver, group, or entire company level.
    1. Entire Company
      1. Click the Profile Icon in the top right of the page.
      2. Click the Company Name:

      3. Select "Enable" if you would like ALL the drivers using the app to only be able to use the Advanced Inspection Mode. Select "Disable" if you would like ALL the drivers using the app to only be able to use the Default Inspection Mode.
    2. Groups
      1. Select "Manage Groups" in the navigation bar.

      2. Click "View" on the group you would like to modify:
      3. Click "Edit Group"
      4. Adjust the Advanced Mode Settings. Enabling will require all drivers in the group to only use the Advanced Mode. Disabling will require all drivers in the group to only use the default mode.
    3. Individual Driver
      1. Select "View Users" in the navigation bar.
      2. Click "view" next to the driver you'd like to adjust.
      3. Click "Edit User" on the user profile page.
      4. Click the checkbox to either Enable or Disable the Advanced Mode in the users mobile app.
